Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was able to show an early interest for sports when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting ability at the time. In only 10 weeks following the first time she tried, she finished second in the 200-meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. In 2004, Felix won her debut Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion of 200 meters of all time at the Helsinki World Championships. She retained her title in 2007 by over her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top 3 in all her events.
